A gallon of gas was 20 cents. There are lots of reasons to long for the good old days. And the bear static tip grizzly is at the top of the list. It's a classic design!
Features a slim reflexed longbow profile, recurve static tips that hold their shape as you draw storing considerably more energy and making for greater performance. With these features it can really shoot an arrow with authority, and quieter than a standard recurve limb tip. AMO 62 with a clean maple riser, new leather grip and Flemish twist B 50 string. It's tillered correctly with 3/8 of an inch positive tiller. Also features hand shaped brush nocks and black, white & brown reinforced tips on the back side.
Limbs are maple core with yellow fiberglass face and back. The wood and fiberglass is in excellent condition. A few dings and scratches.Straight, no stress cracks or other issues to compromise performance. It hardly looks its age of 70+ years. Lots of pictures, tell the real description. I replaced the leather grip, the brass 1/4-20 thread escutcheon is still there (see picture), Just punch a hole in the leather if you need to use it with an old Bear quiver. Comes with a new flemish twist string, and the ratty original leather if you want to use it as a template to make your own. (see last picture)It's set up for a right hander, lefty moves the shelf to the other side. It's definitely a shooter and fast at that, I've shot it regularly but just have too many bows I need to move another one along. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER ARCHERY ITEMS, THANKS FOR LOOKING!
