Sauk Trail'Seneca' Custom 3-Piece Takedown Recurve Bow 2 Sets of Limbs
Sauk Trail "Seneca" Custom Takedown Recurve, 58" 49# and 62" 43#. This is a custom 3-piece takedown recurve made by Sauk Trail Archery with two sets of limbs.
For specifics on the Seneca model, please check their website. This bow comes with two sets of limbs: a 58" at 49# and a 62" at 43#. These weights are at 28 draw. The bow is made of spalted and stabilized Buckeye Burl with Cocobolo accents. The limbs are the same, great natural camo.Bow comes with original strings which are made by Crutcher Creek Archery. I normally ditch'factory' strings for custom ones but I liked these, maybe you will, too.
The bow shoots great, super stable and smooth while also being super quiet. The grip feels super natural and gives you confident solid contact.As for its weight in the hand, it's a little heavier than a typical recurve due to its resin stabilization. This makes the bow a great platform for consistent stable shots.
I've used it for 3D (ETAR) and target shooting. I put some thin felt on the riser limb pockets and on the 58 limb tips for additional dampening, easily removeable if you so choose.
Keep in mind, the sight window is NOT cut to center, it's cut BEFORE center. I have a shorter 27.5 draw but Sauk Trail bows are great for those with long draws. This bow loved my 29 Easton Axis Traditional 500's with 200gn of weight up front. If you have a longer draw you may need less weight up front or a stiffer spine. Sauk Trail "Seneca" 16 riser.
Flemish string for each limb set, freshly waxed. 1 set of standard limb bolts with brass bushings. Soft takedown case with accessories pockets.
